I think people’s infatuation with destroyed/abandoned buildings, chipped paint, old photos has to do with the romance & history of the emotions and lives that pertained to the objects that reminisce them. Ironically, it is until something is gone that we stop to pay attention/respect to it’s vanishing memory.
